Successful ALPFA Leadership Summit

Boston – On Thursday, February 11, four hundred community leaders and professionals celebrated ALPFA Boston’s 13th Annual Executive Leadership Summit at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. This year’s theme, “Impacting the Bottom Line. What’s Your Role?” challenged its attendees to explore how diversity affects the marketplace.
Raymond Arroyo, President of ALPFA Solutions, moderated a panel discussion between Marcela Aldaz- Matos, Assistant Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion for MassMutual Financial Group; Randy Martinez, Director of Strategic Diversity for CVS Caremark, and Cynthia Izzo, Principal for KPMG LLP. The shift in consumer demographics was the focus of their conversation, emphasizing that business growth is only achieved through culturally and linguistically oriented approaches to sales, marketing, products, and services.
ALPFA also honored Jose de la Rosa, Founder of Guardian Healthcare with the Excellence in Service to the Community Award, Marcela Aldaz-Matos, Assistant Vice President of Massachusetts Mutual Financial Group, with the Diversity, Leadership and Service Award, and John A. Sims Jr., Executive Director External Relations at Bentley University with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
With its mission to empower and develop Latino leaders for the nation, ALPFA Boston supports over 7,000 student and professional members.
