Proud Bostonian and local corporate and community leader Enna E. Jímenez will be recognized with a national leadership award in October in Los Angeles.
Under the theme “The Legacy of Latino Leadership: Culture & Inclusion”, the Council for Latino Workplace Equity (CLWE) will host the Fifth Annual National Latino Leadership Conference on October 16th with an evening of awards, that includes Bostonian Enna E. Jímenez on the list of honorees.
“Today, more than any other time, it is imperative we recognize and honor our National Latino Leaders,” said Angeles Valenciano, CEO of the National Diversity Council.
The 2019 National Latino Leaders list highlights individuals who have achieved success in their career while paving the way for other Latinos to advance in the corporate arena.
These individuals contribute to creating and promoting a culture where Latino talent is supported and leveraged for organizational success.
Jimenez, who’s parents are from the Dominican Republic, was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Jamaica Plain.
“For me, it’s a huge honor not only because I will be proudly representing my beloved Boston, but also because I am among so many amazing people also being honored that night”, Jímenez told El Mundo Boston.
And what will be going through her mind when she receives the award?
“Definitely my kids, my mom, my family. They are what drive me to do what I do“, added Enna.
Her career spans over 25 years of working in multiple industries such as financial services, education, advertising and many software and startup companies
Currently, Enna is the Head of the QA function for the Civil Identity Business Unit at IDEMIA, an augmented identity security organization.
She is also the President of the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) Boston Chapter, a nationally recognized Latino organization whose mission is to empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation.
Through Enna’s leadership, ALPFA Boston Chapter received the 2018 Leader Chapter of the Year Award.
