$200 Million expansion at North Shore Community Health Center is warmly welcomed

Patients and community leaders celebrated the completion of a new $200 million expansion at the North Shore Community Health Center’s Salem Campus. The improvements includes a new emergency department, private patient rooms and behavioral health/psychiatric facility.

The ribbon cutting marked the near culmination of a 10-year plan to redesign health care delivery on the North Shore and better serve the current and future health needs of local patients and families.

More than a dozen elected officials were onsite to tour the new emergency department, as well as the 120-bed Epstein Center for Behavioral Health, which will serve children, adults and seniors.

Representatives from North Shore Medical Center, Partners HealthCare and Massachusetts General Hospital were also present for the ribbon cutting.
