Tal como reflejamos los más importantes eventos que cambiaron nuestra vida durante el año pasado, es igual de significante pensar acerca de las grandes cosas que traerá el nuevo año para todos nosotros.
En el caso de nuestro periódico El Mundo, comenzamos otro año que incluirá otra serie de eventos mayores para la comunidad. El primero está programado para marzo, fecha para la cual hemos programado nuestro evento “Latino Career Expo” que ofrecerá oportunidades de estudio y empleo. Por supuesto, tenemos planeados varios eventos para el verano en el Fenway Park y estamos pensando en ampliar nuestro exitoso evento “Hispanic Heritage Breakfast” en octubre, el desayuno que ya es una tradición anual.
También buscamos ser parte de todos los otros aniversarios y celebraciones importantes de las organizaciones e instituciones de nuestra comunidad durante todo el año. Siempre es un honor para nosotros el poder participar en dichos eventos, para los cuales estamos listos para ayudar una vez más en el 2014.
Aunque nosotros continuaremos siendo una organización que destaca lo positivo y anima hacia el optimismo, también entendemos plenamente que el 2013 no fue un año fácil para muchos.
Estamos seguros de que para cada persona que está leyendo este editorial, habrá recuerdos del 2013 que serán difíciles y aún dolorosos. Indudablemente, el 2013 será recordado como uno de los años más difíciles de los últimos tiempos. En el lado bueno de las cosas, podemos prometer que el 2014 traerá incomparable gozo y felicidad con los nuevos nacimientos y crecimiento de las familias. Para otros se revelará como otro año de especial compromiso y muchos, simplemente, lo celebrarán como un año más que nos regala la vida.
Aunque es apropiado enfocarse en lo que ocurrió en los pasados 12 meses, queremos que usted mire hacia adelante las grandes cosas que este año tiene guardadas para cada uno de nosotros.
El final de un año siempre trae el comienzo del siguiente. Y nosotros esperamos y creemos que el 2014.
The beginning of another year…
As we refl ect upon the many important events that changed our lives in the past year, it is just as signifi cant to think about all the great things the new year will bring to all of us.
In the case of El Mundo Newspaper, we begin another year that will include another series of major community events. The first one is scheduled for March as we are already planning our annual Latino Career Expo and Professional Mixer. Of course, we have several events planned over the summer at Fenway Park and we also plan on expanding our successful Hispanic Heritage Breakfast in October.
We also look forward to being a part of all the other important celebrations and anniversaries of organizations and institutions in our community throughout the year. It is always an honor to participate in those events and we are ready to help once again in 2014.
Although we will continue to be an organization that highlights the positive and encourages optimism, we also fully understand that 2013 was not an easy one for far too many.
We are certain that for each person reading this, there will be memories of 2013 that will be diffi cult and even painful. Undoubtedly, 2013 will go down as one of the more challenging years in recent times. On the brighter side of things, we can also promise that 2014 will bring unmatched joy and happiness in the form of new births and additions to families, others will revel in another year of special commitments and many will simply celebrate another year of the gift of life.
Although it is appropriate for refl ecting upon what has ccurred in the past 12 months, we would like to have you look ahead to the many great things this upcoming year has in store for each of us.
The end of one year always brings the beginning of another one. And we hope and believe that 2014 will certainly be a special one. Happy New Year to all!
