In this photo we have (left) Edmarie Guzmán-Vélez, an Instructor and Clinical Scientist at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. With Latinos at greater risk of developing Alzheimer’s she hopes to one day contribute to the cure of the disease. (right) Hector De Jesús-Cortés, winner of the 2019 Blue Cross Blue Shield Latino 30 under 30 Award. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT. Hector’s groundbreaking work has granted him multiple awards from the National Institute of Health and he was selected as the first Latino President of the Postdoctoral Association.
