CORAZÓN PÚRPURA.
El Alcalde de Lawrence Daniel Rivera le entrega un reconocimiento al Sargento Alberto González durante la celebración del Día del Corazón Púrpura el pasado 7 de agosto. La medalla Corazón Púrpura es uno de los más grandes premios que pueda recibir un miembro de las fuerzas armadas luego de ser herido o fallecido en el campo de batalla. Felicitaciones al Sargento González.
CONGRATULATIONS!. The Center for Bilingual Services held its graduation ceremony Aug. 27 at its offices in Lawrence. Among the graduates were Jesús Florian, Marcelina Ramos, Omar Guzman, Plinio Palmieri and Briany Maderno, who took English as a second language classes. Tatiana Vásquez took Spanish lessons. Sandra Katz, who is holding the certificate is the program’s executive director.

Adriana Gómez was excited to see her best friend Madrielle Nshekoh on the first day of school Aug. 26 at Lawrence Catholic Academy. The second graders are among 490 students at the only Catholic elementary school in the city.
CONCIERTO DE MÚSICA CRISTIANA. Jacquelin Melo, Carol Terrero, Marcos Devers y Juan Melo disfrutaron el pasado sábado 29 de agosto del concierto de música cristiana Tercer Cielo agrupación conocida por sus ritmos Pop Latino, que se llevó a cabo en el Lawrence Performing Art Center. La agrupación es conocida por temas como “Yo te extrañaré” y “Creeré” entre otros temas.
