Replaces beloved Max Gruner, who is relocating to New Mexico
Last week a group of East Boston community leaders, elected officials as well as friends and family of Gladys Oliveros gathered to celebrate the appointment of Oliveros as the newest Executive Director for East Boston Main Street. She replaces the popular and beloved Max Gruner, who will be relocating to New Mexico. Gruner had been in that position for the past six years.
Previously Oliveros was a program supervisor at the Boston Center for Youth and Families for the past two years.

“I feel like I am floating in my shoes, I am so happy. I am back to doing what I love, working with small businesses and with my community. I look forward to this new opportunity,” said Oliveros to El Mundo.
Gladys is a native of Barranquilla, Colombia and has been a resident of East Boston for 25 years.
East Boston Main Streets is a nonprofit community improvement organization committed to fostering an inclusive community that supports the growth and well-being of small business community and the residents of East Boston.
