Cambridge College welcomed 25 Mandela Washington Fellows for a six-week academic and leadership institute sponsored by President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), the flagship program for the Mandela Washington Fellowship.
This program is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the U.S Department of State, and administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX). Cambridge College is honored to be one of 36 top U.S. Colleges and universities nationwide to be selected to host these accomplished leaders.
President Deborah Jackson and the Board Members of Cambridge College hosted a welcome dinner for the Fellows on Sunday, June 19. During their stay, the Fellows will be focusing on business and entrepreneurial skills, along with attending discussions, panels, community service, tours and networking with influential members of the community.
