Last Friday, Shaw’s and Star Market announced the grand opening of its new Star Market located at 4 River Street in Dorchester.
Star Market celebrated their customers with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony which included remarks from Boston City Council Members Charles Yancey and Tito Jackson as well as State Representative Daniel Cullinane and Farid Dessources of the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services.
During the ceremony Star Market presented a $2,000 donation to the city’s largest anti-poverty agency Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD).
“We are extremely proud to share this new Star Market with a community that has helped us shape the company we are today”, said Shaw’s President Jim Rice.
