Each May, The YWCA of Greater Lawrence hosts a premier awards luncheon to honor a select group of women who live or work within the service area of the Merrimack Valley, Essex County or Southern NH.
The event is called “Tribute to Women” and serves not only to recognizes and honor the contributions and accomplishments of the women nominated, but it also raises crucial funds for more than 21 of their programs in Lawrence, Haverhill, Lynn and Southern NH.
The organization serves more than 15,000 community women and children annually around issues of domestic violence, homelessness, women’s health as well as pre and after school childcare.
This year’s honorees represent a wide range of dedicated women working in many diverse fields such as the media, health care, banking, education, legal, financial services, as well as a host of charitable and philanthropic organizations at a variety of levels.
